School Uniform and General Appearance

 

Learners are always expected to wear the official uniform and appear neat and tidy.

 

WINTER UNIFORM

 Girls

  • A school tracksuit (available at Peephole)
  • A red polo-neck jersey
  • Black school shoes for girls
  • White socks
  • A black dri-mac or bomber jacket (available at Peephole)

Or

  • A red and white check school dress with the correct belt
  • A grey school jersey (pull-over) with the red and white trim around the neckline
  • A black dri-mac
  • Black school shoes for girls
  • White socks or black tights (not both)

Boys

  • A school tracksuit (available at Peephole) OR    Grey pants
  • A red polo-neck jersey Red shirt & tie (the tie is optional)
  • Grey pants – Grade 4-7 School jersey
  • Grey school socks and black school shoes Black dri-mac/bomber jacket
  • A black dri-mac or the school’s bomber jacket Grey socks and black school shoes

Grade 7’s

  • They can wear a red sleeveless school pull-over to school
  • They can wear a red school jersey
  • The prefects wear a red blazer with red trimming
  • The head girls and head boys wear red blazers with a white and red trimming

Physical Education for all learners

  • Both boys and girls wear the prescribed Golf shirt available at Peephole with
  • The school’s track suit pants
  • Plain black takkies (no fancy logos or coloured soles)

 

No blazers may be worn over a track suit

 

  1. No additions to the uniform that are not in accordance with the regulations will be allowed (e.g. the wrong colour beanies/gloves/scarves).
  2. No earrings (only small gold/silver studs or sleepers for girls will be allowed), jewellery, accessories, coloured contact lenses or visible tattoos are not allowed.
  3. No colouring of hair or wearing of exotic hairstyles is allowed.
  4. Fingernails must always be kept trimmed short and clean. This include both the boys and girls

  6. During events that allow the wearing of casual wear, learners should wear neat, presentable clothes.
  • Beachwear, tight-fitting clothes, clothes that are see-through and/or too revealing are not allowed.
  • Hair, shoes, and accessories should always be neat.
  1. Only learners that have applied and submitted relevant supporting documents and received the necessary permission from the school governing body may deviate from the official school uniform for religious and cultural reasons as contemplated in point 1 of this policy.
  2. If a learner has earned Provincial colours/clothes for an activity e.g. sport, it may be worn on Fridays during the season that the specific sport is played

 

SUMMER UNIFORM

Girls

  • Black school shoes for girls
  • White socks
  • A red and white check school dress with the correct belt
  • A grey school jersey (pull-over) with the red and white trim around the neckline
  • A black dri-mac
  • Black school shoes for girls
  • White socks

Boys

  • Grey shorts (Grade 1-3)
  • Red shirt & tie (the tie is optional)
  • Grey pants – Grade 4-7
  • School jersey
  • Grey school socks and black school shoes
  • A red sleeveless school pull-over to school (Grade 7’s only)
  • The prefects wear a red blazer with red trimming
  • The head girls and head boys wear red blazers with a white and red trimming
